Trainee Solicitors
What we look for?
In addition to the skills we look for in all staff, you will be ambitious, committed and able to inspire confidence in clients and your fellow colleagues.
Strong academics, excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to go the extra mile will set you apart from other candidates.
We are looking for high calibre individuals who have a business mind and a social conscience.
What does the training contract involve?
The BTMK training programme is flexible and dependant on departmental requirements. Normally trainees will undertake four seats in their first year, rotating every three months. Second year trainees are (where possible) given the option to spend the last six months of their training contract in the department within which they wish to qualify.
BTMK is committed to regular supervision at partner level.
For current trainees comments on the BTMK training contract, please refer to the most recent edition of The Chambers Student Guide.
Our commitment to trainees
BTMK invests considerable time and resources into your training and development so that upon qualification you are an accomplished and capable lawyer. Accordingly we seek to retain a high level of our trainees and like to recruit our solicitors from within.
