BTMK representatives play a significant role in JLD for 2011/2012

BTMK reprentatives now hold 5 of the 8 committee positions in relation to the JLD (Junior Lawyers Division) in our region.

Launched in January 2008 for junior lawyers across England and Wales, the JLD is a division of the Law Society with an independent voice. This division represents all student members of the Law Society enrolled through the SRA, trainees, and solicitors with up to five years' active PQE.

The JLD is all about its community and its needs. To enable the JLD to better represent junior lawyers, they want to hear from you. Email the JLD at juniorlawyers@lawsociety.org.uk or e-mail anne-marie.rainsford@btmk.co.uk or sarah.law@btmk.co.uk at BTMK for more information.

The JLD are holding a group discussion session with the local District Judges shortly to discuss ongoing changes within the judicial system, new methods of working, common problems encountered by the Court staff and Court users and to develop better ways of working to allow better access to justice for all concerned.

Ongoing plans are in place for a mooting competition for Anglia Ruskin University Students. Watch this space for details of future social and networking events.
