BTMK praised once again in Chambers & Partners Guide

BTMK have once again been profiled in the 2012 Edition of Chambers & Partners' Student Guide. It was extremely good news that BTMK was chosen as one of only 120 or so firms nationwide for the very important article, in a publication that is now recognised as being the ultimate reference for those entering the legal profession.

BTMK was described as "being a leader" in Southend-on-Sea and highlighted the fact that the firm was looking to expand beyond "its immediate stronghold area" and become "one of the major players in the wider Essex region."  BTMK was also described as being the "go-to solicitors for housing and possession work."

The article also spoke about the firm's aim to become the "the premier commercial firm in Southend" which means repositioning BTMK as a boutique, highly specialised commercial operation.  The recent re-brand aims to highlight our strengths as a practice and the things that distinguish us from all of the other local competitors.

The article also spoke about the fact that BTMK already represents many of the area's large local employers.

Some of BTMK's current trainee solicitors were interviewed for the article and a selection of the comments can be found below:

  • "The firm offers the fantastic opportunity to participate in County Court trials....I used to spend a day and a half there every week, observing, learning skills, giving advice and even going in front of a district Judge."
  • "You get lots of resposibility from the start."
  • "[you should] consider why you're interested in BTMK.  We're not just another cardboard cut-out City firm, which people should know coming in."

BTMK has always shown a huge commitment to its trainee solicitors and to those coming to the profession.  Growth at BTMK has almost-exclusively been organic and it is only through retaining a huge proportion of its trainees that the firm is able to guarantee the consistent level of service and quality advice that sets us apart from local competition.

We will be welcoming applications for training contracts to commence in September 2012 in November/Decemer this year - so watch this space.
