BTMK co-sponsor GP's Event at Browns Hotel, Mayfair

BTMK have reached an agreement to co-sponsor an exciting GP networking and commercial event at Browns Hotel, London on 12th November 2011.

The TGG Group, having been in existence since June 2011, started with 20 GP's and has since expanded to over 350 GP's as at September 2011.  The November event was fully subscribed within days of the details being released and BTMK are very excited by the proposition of being able to provide ongoing legal and business support to a new and dynamic group of GP's.

BTMK have recently been instructed in relation to a large number of GP partnership acquisitions and re-structures and the GP market has traditionally been thought of as difficult to access for non-medical commercial enterprises.  The majority of members are recently qualified GP's who are reaching an age and a stage in their careers where partnership opportunities will arise and for those GP's who have already attained partnership, other business law issues will need to be dealt with.

• Business & Partnership Law – partnership acquisitions, partnership entry, consultancy agreements

• Commercial property – re-locating GP surgeries, negotiations with PCT in relation to rent / lease reviews, negotiations with freehold proprietors for surgery extensions and change of use applications

• Employment Law – dealing with all aspects of employment law for surgery employees, redundancy situations, dismissal / grievance procedures;

• Litigation & Dispute Resolution – to include representation of GP’s at disciplinary hearings, Interim Orders Panel (IOP), Fitness to Practise Panel (FTP);

• Private Client, Wills, Estates and Trusts – to ensure that GP’s cater adequately for their families, to ensure that their partnership position is properly protected on death and to ensure that potentially valuable estates are dealt with to minimise tax liabilities.
