domestic violence
Where domestic violence has occurred in a relationship it is important that you seek urgent legal advice from BTMK Family so that we can help you either with seeking an injunction to prevent your partner being further abusive or to advise as to what orders can be served upon you if you have been accused of domestic violence.
If you are the subject of Domestic Violence it is important that you speak with one of our representatives who will be sympathetic to the traumatic experiences that you have had. They will be able to give you full advice as to what options are open to you to enable you to protect yourself from further abuse. If you have children they will give you advice as to whether it is appropriate to be offering contact to the perpetrator of the abuse.
Any breach of a non-molestation order made after 2nd July 2007 will be an automatically arrestable offence. If the person accused of the breach is found to have breached the order they will be sentenced by either the Magistrates Court or Crown Court and they will acquire a criminal record which could impact on other aspects of their life. If you have had such an order served upon you then it is important that you seek urgent advice from BTMK Family.
Where it is necessary to issue court proceedings for an injunction we confirm that our offices in Southend and Chelmsford are located sufficiently close to the County Court in each town to make representation of you on an emergency basis extremely efficient.
