Tribunal claims

The Acas (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) Code of Practice on Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures, which took effect from 6 April 2009, replaces statutory dismissal and grievance procedures. Its aim is to encourage employers and staff to resolve problems at an early stage, to reduce the likelihood of employment tribunals.

However, it is inevitable that work-related issues will continue to arise that lead to an employee taking a claim to an employment tribunal.

We have extensive experience of working with employers on all aspects of tribunal proceedings. In all cases, seeking legal advice before responding to a claim issued by an employee in an employment tribunal is an essential step.
