Employees who have been badly treated by their employer or their work colleagues sometimes feel that they have been left with no choice but to resign from their employment.
In these circumstances it is possible that the employee could have a claim for constructive unfair dismissal. It is necessary for an employee to establish that there has been a fundamental breach of their contract of employment, and that they have resigned in relation to that breach.
Prior to resigning employees should seek advice on the problems they are experiencing. If you are being mistreated or are considering resigning, contact our team for advice on how to proceed.
