Youth Court
Whether the offence is minor or more serious, Youth Court cases require the high level of expertise, sensitivity and experience delivered by our dedicated BTMK team.
The varied and wide-ranging sentencing powers now available to the Youth Court increases the importance of expert legal advice and representation. Our team provides advice on a daily basis concerning:
- advice and representation for youths at the police station
- advice and representation for youths at all stages of proceedings in the Youth Court including pleas, bail applications, trials and sentencing
- advice on appeals to the Crown Court against Youth Court decisions
- advice and representation to youths in road traffic prosecutions.
In both Chelmsford and Southend-on-Sea, our offices are close to the courts, which means we are ideally placed to provide fast, efficient assistance in Youth Court proceedings.
Funding for Youth Court cases may be available through the Legal Aid system. For more information, please click here.
