Lease Extension and Collective Enfranchisement
The Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 gives leaseholders the legal right to purchase a new lease upon set terms or for leaseholders in a block of flats to collectively purchase the freehold to the block (this is known as enfranchisement).
Our team has experience of acting for both landlords and tenants in relation to applications for lease extensions and collective enfranchisements and we can advise you of your rights and options at every stage of the process.
