Lease Extension and Collective Enfranchisement

The Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 gives leaseholders the legal right to purchase a new lease upon set terms or for leaseholders in a block of flats to collectively purchase the freehold to the block (this is known as enfranchisement).
